Terms and Conditions of Sale

These Terms and Conditions apply to all sales of goods by TIS Guns Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) to customers (“you”, “your”).

By placing an order with us, whether online, by telephone or in person, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

TIS Guns Ltd operates as a Registered Firearms Dealer in accordance with UK firearms legislation.


2. Eligibility to Purchase

You must be at least 18 years of age to purchase age-restricted products.

Firearms, shotguns, ammunition, sound moderators and certain component parts may only be sold to individuals who:

  • Are aged 18 or over; and
  • Hold a valid firearm certificate (FAC) or shotgun certificate (SGC) covering the item being purchased.

We reserve the right to request original documentation and to refuse any sale at our discretion.

Any false declaration regarding age, identity or certification may be reported to the relevant authorities.


3. Regulated and Restricted Products

Certain products sold by TIS Guns Ltd are subject to strict legal controls under the Firearms Act 1968 and subsequent amendments.

These include but are not limited to:

Section 1 firearms
Section 2 shotguns
Ammunition
Sound moderators
Pressure-bearing component parts
Reloading primers and powders
Air rifles above statutory limits

Such products:

  • Cannot be dispatched by standard post;
  • May require face-to-face collection;
  • May require transfer to a Registered Firearms Dealer nominated by you;
  • Are subject to certification verification prior to transfer.

Orders for regulated goods are not confirmed until certification has been verified.


4. Order Acceptance

All orders are subject to acceptance by us.

Placing an order does not guarantee supply. A contract is formed only when we confirm acceptance.

We reserve the right to refuse any order for reasons including but not limited to:

Failure to provide valid certification
Legal restrictions
Suspected fraud
Stock availability
Clerical or pricing errors


5. Pricing and Payment

All prices are shown in pounds sterling.

We reserve the right to amend prices at any time prior to order confirmation.

Payment must be made in full before goods are dispatched or transferred.

For regulated goods, payment does not override legal transfer requirements.


6. Delivery and Collection

Firearms and Regulated Items

Firearms and certain regulated items:

  • Must be collected in person from our premises; or
  • Transferred to a Registered Firearms Dealer nominated by you.

Transfers are subject to applicable fees.

All transfers are recorded in accordance with statutory requirements.

Ammunition and Explosive Components

Ammunition and reloading components may only be dispatched via authorised specialist carriers and require appropriate certification.

Such items cannot be sent via Royal Mail.

Accessories and Clothing

Non-regulated goods may be dispatched via standard courier services.

Risk passes to you upon delivery.

If regulated goods are not collected within an agreed period, we reserve the right to apply reasonable storage charges.


7. Distance Selling and Cancellation Rights

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, consumers may normally cancel certain distance purchases within 14 days.

However, cancellation rights may not apply to:

Goods that are made to specification
Goods that are personalised
Certain regulated goods where transfer processes have commenced
Ammunition, primers or powders

Where cancellation rights apply, goods must be returned unused and in original condition.


8. Returns and Refunds

Ammunition, primers and powders cannot be returned once supplied.

Firearms returns are subject to inspection and compliance with applicable law.

Accessories and clothing may be returned in unused condition within the applicable statutory period.

Refunds will be processed using the original payment method.

We reserve the right to deduct reasonable costs where goods are returned in diminished condition.

This does not affect your statutory rights in respect of faulty or misdescribed goods.


9. Product Descriptions

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, images and specifications are accurate.

Manufacturers may alter specifications without notice.

Images are for illustrative purposes only.


10. Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

Subject to this, our liability is limited to the purchase price of the goods supplied.

We accept no liability for misuse, unlawful possession or improper storage of goods once lawfully transferred to you.


11. Compliance with Law

You are responsible for ensuring that your purchase and possession of goods complies with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction.

We operate in accordance with UK firearms legislation and reserve the right to refuse transactions that may breach legal requirements.


12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
