Delivery and Collection Policy

This policy explains how goods purchased from TIS Guns Ltd are delivered or transferred. Certain items are subject to strict legal controls and cannot be dispatched in the same way as standard retail goods.
TIS Guns Ltd operates as a Registered Firearms Dealer in accordance with UK firearms legislation.
1. General Principles
All deliveries and transfers are carried out in accordance with applicable law.
Certain regulated products:
- Cannot be sent via standard postal services
- Cannot be dispatched directly to residential addresses
- Must be collected in person or transferred to another Registered Firearms Dealer
We reserve the right to delay or refuse dispatch where legal requirements have not been satisfied.
2. Firearms (Section 1 and Section 2)
Firearms and shotguns may only be supplied by:
Face-to-face collection at our premises; or
Transfer to a Registered Firearms Dealer nominated by the purchaser.
We do not dispatch firearms directly to residential addresses.
Collection at Our Premises
When collecting a firearm, you must:
Produce your original valid firearm or shotgun certificate
Provide photographic identification if requested
Ensure the firearm is authorised on your certificate
All transactions will be recorded in our dealer register in accordance with statutory obligations.
Transfer to Another Registered Firearms Dealer
If you request transfer to another Registered Firearms Dealer (RFD):
You must nominate a suitable RFD
Transfer fees may apply
The receiving dealer may charge their own handling fee
The transfer will only proceed once certification and dealer details have been verified.
3. Ammunition
Ammunition sales are subject to certification verification.
Ammunition may be:
Collected in person; or
Delivered via authorised specialist courier where legally permitted.
Ammunition:
Cannot be sent via Royal Mail
Requires appropriate certification
Must not exceed the quantity authorised on your certificate
A signature will be required upon delivery.
4. Reloading Powders and Primers
Powders and primers are subject to explosives regulations.
Such items:
Cannot be dispatched via standard postal services
May be subject to additional handling requirements
May require collection depending on regulatory constraints
We reserve the right to restrict supply if compliance or safe storage requirements cannot be satisfied.
5. Air Weapons
Air rifles and air pistols may be subject to age verification requirements.
Delivery methods for air weapons will comply with applicable UK law at the time of sale.
We reserve the right to require face-to-face collection where appropriate.
6. Accessories and Clothing
Non-regulated goods such as clothing, optics (where not controlled), accessories and general equipment may be dispatched via standard courier services.
Delivery times provided are estimates only.
Risk in the goods passes to you upon confirmed delivery.
7. Delivery Charges
Delivery and transfer fees will be stated at the time of order where applicable.
Additional charges may apply for:
Specialist carriers
Dealer-to-dealer transfers
Remote or specialist delivery requirements
8. Failed Delivery and Storage
If regulated goods are not collected within an agreed timeframe, we reserve the right to apply reasonable storage charges.
Where a transfer is delayed due to incomplete certification or customer inaction, we may suspend the transaction until compliance is achieved.
9. Inspection on Receipt
You are responsible for inspecting goods upon receipt.
Any visible damage or discrepancy must be reported within a reasonable timeframe.
This does not affect your statutory rights in respect of faulty or misdescribed goods.
